CAMM is happy to name Maya HTT as the March Member of the Month.
I met with Arnaud Divialle of Maya HTT to learn more about their company and some questions.
Q. What are your goals for 2023?
A. We launched a new product in January 2023 and will be launching another new product in September/October of next year. Our goals is to be adopted by mold making companies.
Q. What were your biggest accomplishments/what you are most proud of from 2022?
A. We were able to develop a new product in 14 months, which was a huge accomplishment. We engaged in a lot of discussions and development with mold makers. We took a new approach and got good results.
Q. What are tips/advice that you can offer someone new to your business?
A. We are software developers, and I would advise those new to our business that the key to remaining valuable is to connect with potential customers. We must talk to our customers regularly and that is key to developing a relevant product.
Also, get involved in other industries. The key element is developing subject matter expertise to understand customers, to develop, market and sell products.
Q. What are 3 facts about Maya HTT?
A. 1. We are proud to be around for a long time and still be relevant.
2. Instead of hiring developers, we hire individuals with Masters or PhD's in Science or Physics and train them. This ensures they development products from a scientific standpoint.
Q. Anything additional you would like to share?
A. We will be at PTXPO at booth #1725
We just released a new product, Simform. "Quick and early thermal simulation is the low-cost answer to plastic injection mold cooling design challenges.
It takes less than 10 minutes to confidently predict mold temperatures and cooling time, and improve cooling channel placement."

Canada Innovation Corporation - Blueprint
Ottawa has unveiled a new national agency with a mission of making Canadian businesses more innovative and productive.
The Canada Innovation Corporation will support businesses across all sectors in developing and protecting intellectual property, as well as capturing segments of global supply chains, according to Finance Canada and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), the ministries overseeing the project.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland and Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne on Feb. 16 released the blueprint document providing details on how the organization will operate.
“Canadian businesses do not invest in research and development at the same level as their global peers,” the document said, noting that this weakens Canada’s economic competitiveness and reduces opportunities for Canadian workers.

ONTARIO ADDRESSES LABOUR SHORTAGES BY ALLOWING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO TRANSITION TO SKILLED TRADES APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMS
The Ontario government is preparing young people for in-demand careers by allowing students in grade 11 to transition to a full-time, skilled trades apprenticeship program. Upon receiving their Certificate of Apprenticeship, these young workers can apply for their Ontario Secondary School Diploma as mature students. At a time when the province continues to face historic labour shortages, this change means that more students will be able to enter the trades faster than ever before.
