This month, Megatel is our Member Spotlight! Megatel is a dedicated CAMM partner & member and contributes so much to our community!

I had the pleasure of asking John Donald of Megatel some questions for their spotlight!

What are your goals for 2023?
2023 for us will be a busy year. We opened an office in Michigan.
We have a new partnership with GROB a world-renowned German machine tool builder.
We are looking to extend the existing Megatel building in Windsor offering a new technological and learning centers for our customers to use and benefit from.
We are preparing for the largest machine tool show in Canada.
CMTS will be held at the end of September 2023, we have a large booth and will be showing new products and automations including 5 axis machines, robotics, and other world class products.
We hope to see many local mold companies visit us at the show.

What are you most proud of from 2022?
Last year was a little slow for us on the machine tool side of things. We utilized the time to invest and purchased a new ERP system. We also renewed some of our service tools.
Our service department was very busy , keeping machines running for our customers is our main priority.

5 things to know about your company.
We have 3 Canadian offices – MONTREAL – TORONTO and WINDSOR.
We employ over 30 service staff.
We have been in business for over 43 years.
We can service other brands of machines not only ours.
We have over 5 million dollars of machines in stock or available quickly.

Why did you join CAMM?
CAMM is a local partner, we take our partnership with them very seriously. We have the same values, we promote local interests, local manufacturing, the skilled trades and promoting “made in Canada products” for the world markets. Together we use our platforms to help local companies strive and be competitive and the world stage.

Closing comments:
We strongly believe that creating strong bonds with our customers and our suppliers will help everyone achieve grow and prosper for the future. Our industry can be volatile and has a lot of challenges. Working together to overcome these challenges by offering products or service solutions is what MEGATEL is all about. Anyone can sell a machine. We take it many steps further, by offering preventive maintenance, emergency repairs and calibrations services. Not for one or two years after purchase, but for the lifespan of the machine. This is why, we feel that MEGATEL one of the best Machine tool partner available today. We care, we understand, and we help our customers.

I have had many opportunities to meet with John, and the Megatel team, and their passion and dedication for what they do is unmatched. They enjoy what they do and appreciate their customers and staff.

Thank you Megatel for being a part of the CAMM Community!
