This month we are happy to name Boride Engineered Abrasives as our Member of the Month. In addition to their most recent press release, which can be found below, I was able to ask Lesley Murphy, Marketing Manager and Sales at Boride, some questions.

What are your goals for 2023?
Be Canada's number one supplier of polishing abrasives and accessories as well as be a source of support for Canadian mold makers by developing and introducing new products and services.

What are you most proud of from 2022?
Being able to spend time in the field with our customers again and more frequently.

3 things to know about your company:
1. BORIDE is located in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan.
2. In addition to polishing abrasives, we have two other value streams that manufacture concrete floor finishing products and glass and dressing sticks.
3. We sell into over 50 countries.

Brief history of your company.
Established in 1993, BORIDE Engineered has developed and manufactured abrasive products for industrial and consumer applications. From our global network of suppliers and industry experts we also distribute products that our customers need to improve their quality and productivity.

Why did you join CAMM?
Canada is a strong market for BORIDE and by becoming a member of CAMM we are partnering with an excellent organization with resources and relationships that we are grateful to utilize, while supporting Canadian mold makers.

Something people may not know about the industry you work in?
We are popular with and sell to a wide range of hobbyists and specialty industries; knife sharpening, gunsmithing, skate and ski sharpening and smoothing, dental, jewelry makers and we also sell to the Royal Canadian and U.S. Mints.
Thank you Lesley and Boride Engineered Abrasives for taking the time to answer these questions and sharing their products. Be sure to read their press release linked below!

A common thread in the survey, however, showed that many companies are expecting at least some kind of windfall as the focus on EV technology increases.
