With the return to in-person activities and events, CAMM hosted and collaborated on a number of events this year.
We were pleased to welcome Jag Badwal, Ontario Agent General, to our networking event in October where he spoke on opportunities for Canadian businesses in the southern United States and Nour Hachem, President and Founder of Build a Dream, who spoke on her dream and how she made it a reality!
We attended the Build a Dream ‘Dreamer Day’ breakfast where we represented our members and heard from a panel, moderated by Rakesh Naidu, President of the Windsor Chamber of Commerce.
We partnered with Invest Windsor-Essex and E2F Systems to host a session of case studies that demonstrated the latest technologies in reducing energy waste and cost.
We connected with our members at a number of networking sessions. These informal events allowed the opportunity to get to know many of our members, while discussing their needs and how we can better serve them as an association. We are listening and are always striving to meet your needs and to help you address any challenges you are facing!
In 2023, we partnered with Family Services of Peel to offer Apprenticeship Services to our member companies.
We hosted two information sessions, with Lyn Caine of Family Services of Peel, where she discussed how to submit for funding, the amount of funding you might qualify for and how Apprenticeship Services can help your company. Companies can receive up to $20,000 by hiring apprentices. Reach out to CAMM Executive Director, Nicole Vlanich, [email protected] to learn more about the program. The deadline for the current round of applications is March 31, 2024.
We had the opportunity to spread the word about our association and members to Pierre Poilievre during his visit to Windsor. We spent much of 2023, promoting our industry throughout Ontario!
We had the pleasure of being invited to a number of industry events including the Women in Mobility breakfast, where we heard from US and Canadian speakers on cross border collaboration and how Ontario and Michigan are leading the way in shaping the future of mobility!
This year, we introduced the Canadian Association of Moldmakers magazine! We were thrilled with the feedback that we received and the interest in our first independent publication.
