The Canadian Association of Moldmakers (CAMM) has elected a new Board Chair and Vice-Chair.
At its recent Annual General Meeting, Saylo Lam, President of Circle 5, was elected Board Chair and Natalia Stephen, President of Compound Metal Coatings, was elected Vice-Chair. Both have since begun their duties.
Outgoing Chair Kim Thiara, President and CEO of AceTronic, will continue to support CAMM as an Advisor to the Board of Directors. The Board and members thanked Thiara for her commitment and contributions.
“Kim Thiara is about ‘getting things done’ and driving results through collaboration, partnerships and relationships. She radiates an enthusiastic and sincere passion to service her clients in all facets of the organization, building trust and rapport quickly with everyone she meets. Kim showed this passion and dedication during her two-year term as Chair of CAMM,” the association stated in a release.
Lam, the new Board Chair, is a distinguished professional and accomplished entrepreneur in the field of plastic injection molds and advanced manufacturing. With a career that spans over 30 years, he has established himself as a respected figure in the industry.
Outgoing Chair Thiara, stated at the AGM that Lam “has shown his dedication and commitment to this association {as vice-chair} and his extensive experience and vision for the future of the mold making industry make him an excellent choice for his new role”.
Natalia Stephen previously ran the CAMM Toronto Chapter and is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Technology Bucharest and specialized, in South Africa, in metal finishing, metallurgy and material science. She has been in the plastic tooling industry for the past 23 years.
Thiara, noted that Stephen “brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective that will greatly benefit the Board”
