2024 Ontario Autotech Export Business Mission to Silicon Valley

The Government of Ontario, in collaboration with the Ontario Trade and Investment Office in San Francisco and Global Affairs Canada, is organizing an Automotive Technology Export Business Mission to Silicon Valley. The program is co-delivered as part of the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) AutoTech program (www.tradecommissioner.gc.ca/cta-atc/silicon-valley-autotech-2024_technologie-automobile-silicon-valley-2024.aspx?lang=eng#wb-cont)
Silicon Valley is home to the largest US concentration of venture capital firms as well as technology operations of many US and international automotive industry corporations including global OEMs such as General Motors, Ford, Stellantis, Tesla, Toyota, Honda, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Porsch, Volvo, and Hyundai; new hybrid technology/automotive companies such as Lyft, Uber, Apple and many Tier 1 suppliers such as Bosch, Valeo, Delphi and Continental Tire.
Focus areas include connected vehicles, autonomous vehicles/driving, artificial intelligence, software architecture, sensors and radar, remote monitoring, safety systems, in-car entertainment systems, batteries/alternative energy sources.
This export business mission will leverage opportunities at Silicon Valley’s Autotech Council “Science Fair” (www.autotechcouncil.com/science-fair) and also comprise B2B meetings, site visits and Ontario technology seminars and investor pitch opportunities.
The mission package will include:
- Pitch-preparation workshop
- 1:1 export advice and consultation
- Admission and exhibit opportunities at the Autotech Council Science Fair
- Sector/market-specific briefing(s) to provide updates on the Autotech trends and opportunities
- Business networking
