Member Webinar: Conducting Essential Business and Crossing the Border during COVID-19
This webinar is brought to you by the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation in partnership with Automate Canada, the Canadian Association of Mold Makers, the Canadian Tooling and Machining Association and the Consulate General of Canada – Detroit.
Cross-border supply chains are vital to ensure the continued flow of goods between Canada and the USA. Manufacturing companies located in the Windsor-Essex Region and Detroit/Southeastern Michigan and beyond rely on a strong and integrated supply chain that transcends the US-Canada border.
The impact of COVID-19 has been quite disruptive to our local and regional economies. While the decision to close the border to non-essential travel has been well-received and understood, with economies opening up on both sides of the border, there are increasing questions by manufacturing companies on how best to facilitate cross-border commercial trade.
If you are a manufacturing company that conducts cross-border business you will not want to miss this webinar. CBSA Chiefs Bonnie Lucier and Eric Beck will offer guidance on what is needed by American Business Travelers to enter Canada and what Canadian Business Travelers can expect when they return to Canada so that essential business can be conducted in a safe manner. To that end, Chief Lucier and Beck will help clarify the difference between self-monitoring versus self-isolation.
Please join us for this webinar, moderated by Automate Canada, CAMM, and CTMA as Chiefs Beck and Lucier provide guidance and offer tips on what you need to know to cross the border for essential business.
Note: Should you wish to pre-submit any questions, please use the registration form to do so and they will be forwarded to CBSA officials.
