Event: November 27th – Cyber Security impacts every organization - Canadian Association of Moldmakers

Cyber Security Conference on November 27th. As we move forward into 2020 and beyond, the auto sector will be stepping up its operations in two primary areas: Industry 4.0 and Cyber Security.

These aren’t just buzz words; they’re critical concepts that members and our industry need to better understand in order to maintain and grow their competitive advantage. Currently, some OEMs are already requiring their suppliers to demonstrate their Cyber Security capabilities before they can bid for work. This trend will be standard practice in very short order for the rest and will also run through the entire supply chain.

APMA is putting this event together to help our suppliers (who may not have a cyber security regime or programs in place) to get started. Attendees will receive critical information on cyber security and how it may impact their organizations and how to protect themselves from cyber threats.

Attendees will be introduced to APMA’s CyberKit 1.0 – A starting point for an auto supplier’s path to becoming cyber secure. The CyberKit 1.0 will provide the means to develop a holistic cybersecurity program which is robust, secure, practical, and effective. It will also help organizations to understand its critical assets and the risks associated with them. Based on this knowledge, the organization can develop relevant and effective cybersecurity controls to ensure that its assets are protected.
