We all know health and safety training is valuable, but did you know there’s a training opportunity that actually pays you to attend?
Yes!
Calling all small business owners! If you regularly employ 6-19 employees, then you could receive reimbursement from the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) to train your health and safety representative (HSR).
The MLTSD is offering qualifying businesses $175 for an employee to complete HSR Basic Training (eLearning) between July 15, 2021 and March 31, 2024. The reimbursement covers the $25 course registration fee and provides $150 towards the HSR’s training time.
