Speaker Bios:
Kim Litchfield:
As Regional Manager, Kim provides leadership in promoting the new WSIB Health & Safety Excellence Program in collaboration with Health and Safety System Partners, Service Providers, and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) through engagement and outreach activities. Kim’s background as a health and safety consultant along with progressive management and leadership roles in Ontario’s Prevention System at Workplace Safety Prevention Services (WSPS) and Public Services Health & Safety Association (PSHSA) has provided her with direct experience in partnering with manufacturing, service sector and provincial public sector agencies to work towards a safer Ontario.
Ronald Landry:
Ron Landry began his career with the Ministry of Labour in 2004 as an Industrial Inspector for the Industrial Health and Safety Program’s High Risk Initiative. His career with the Ministry includes roles as Regional Industrial Program Manager, Regional Program Coordinator, Policy Advisor and Provincial Specialist. Ron is currently in the role of Acting Provincial Coordinator for the Industrial Health and Safety Program. Prior to joining the Ministry, he worked for 15 years in the automotive manufacturing sector for three prominent employers in the industry.
Melissa Brown:
Melissa Brown joined the Operations Stakeholder Relations team in December 2019 as the Manager of Stakeholder Relations. She has been with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board for over 20 years in various progressive leadership capacities; most recently prior to this role she was Manager of Stakeholder Engagement for Rate Framework. She has also managed staff in Skills Development, Case Management and Mental Stress Injuries.
Melissa has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Laws degree in Dispute Resolution.
